Boy Do I Have Some Catching Up to Do

I was downloading the photos from my camera and realized I hadn't posted about my cousin's visit yet. So....

One of the Texas Ts returned to her roots, and as her family did growing up, she fled the summer heat and brought her kids up north to cool off. Not quite the cool NW of her childhood summers, but Boise isn't too far from us here in Utah, so we welcomed a quick visit a few weekends ago. After enjoying a yummy dinner at our uncle and aunt's house and a quick walk around the Heritage/This is the Place park, an unexpected casualty was discovered. And, as Hollywood is now experiencing, tragedy struck more than once.

It seems two birds recently flew into one of my uncle and aunt's windows and didn't survive long enough to leave the back yard. Thus the trash sack coffin.

And to get back into a happier spirit, we enjoyed some yummy dessert...

It was fun to spend some time with her cute little family.
