The 39 Steps

We wanted to get in a play while we were there. It was a toss up between The 39 Steps and Mary Stuart - they were the two available at TKTS.

Oh, quick plug for TKTS. I love it! Tickets at half price, and great seats. We of course got Billy Elliot well in advance since it's a sold out show. And we had hoped to see the play, Blythe Spirit, but it closed the weekend before we got there. Limited Engagement - not my favorite words. And God of Carnage was not available at TKTS.

So, we decided on The 39 Steps because it was only 2 hours, and for a matinee, we were thinking we needed something short and lively - which it was. It's an Alfred Hitchcock show full of slap stick humor. It's just a cast of four - but they were awesome. The lead was played by the understudy, but he did really well.

Fun show!
